Every gable, hip and valley, finished clean
A roof with this much shape is harder to do well than a plain one. Every gable, hip and valley was worked on its own: the ridges are straight, the ridge caps run unbroken, and the white-trimmed gable ends are framed by clean shingle edges, so the new roof follows the lines of the house.
A chimney and vents that stay watertight
The roof also carries a chimney and a scattering of box vents and pipe vents. Each of them was flashed as part of our TotalShield® Shingle System, since the points where something comes up through a roof are where leaks most often start.
One consistent roof, edge to edge
From above, the finished roof is one even gray surface with no patchwork: the same shingle, the same courses and the same neat edge from the front gable to the back of the house. It gives the home a fresh, uniform look that suits its Craftsman style.
